LFS Technologies is designing and building a 737NG simulation testbed to be installed at the NASA/Ames Human Centered Systems Lab (HCSL). PerotSystems who will manage the facility for NASA has contracted with LFS to provide the flightdeck hardware, electronics, and all supporting software. In addition, LFS will be integrating the software with throttle and flight controls provided by PerotSystems. The test bed will be used by NASA to conduct research to support the next generation ATC system and study improved cockpit procedures and displays. A key objective of minimizing costs and providing an open architecture was accomplished by employing the OSS flight simulation program FlightGear.
bring you the next generation of glass cockpit simulators. Glass is quickly finding it's way into the general aviation market. It won't be long before your preflight routine includes a startup procedure for your avionics. To meet that training need ATC Simulators has selected LFS Technologies to design and build the graphical display software and interface protocols for a general aviation simulator that will be adaptable to a variety of displays and systems offered by avionics manufacturers.
NTPS has leased a 747 simulator for test and evaluation. Staff test pilots at NTPS will be flying the simulator this summer in a variety of scenarios and profiles to explore options and ideas for incorporating the system into the teaching and training curriculum. LFS Technologies, working closely with the staff, will collect and analyze the results and recommend changes and improvements to better meet the academic objectives of the school.
